A Pizza Born From Roots & Passion

Via 313 started with a simple idea: bring the thick, crispy, cheese-edged magic of Detroit-style pizza to Texas. Founded by brothers Brandon and Zane Hunt, who grew up eating square pies in the Motor City, Via 313 launched as a humble trailer operation in Austin before growing into a full restaurant presence across Texas.

The name "313" is Detroit's area code — a badge of pride for a city known for grit, creativity, and soul. Every pie we bake carries that same spirit: unpretentious, bold, and crafted with real care. We use high-quality ingredients, long-fermented dough, and Wisconsin brick cheese to deliver a pizza experience unlike anything else in Houston.

Today, our Houston location at 10201 Katy Fwy serves the same legendary recipes that started it all — with the same commitment to quality, community, and an unforgettable square slice.

From a trailer parked in Austin to a beloved Houston destination — here's the road we've traveled.

2011

The Trailer Dream

Brothers Brandon and Zane Hunt launch Via 313 as a food trailer in Austin, TX. Armed with nothing but a family recipe and sheer determination, they serve their first squares to curious Austinites.

2014

Austin Goes Square Crazy

Word spreads fast. Via 313 earns local and national recognition, winning awards and appearing in food publications. A second trailer hits the streets as demand outpaces capacity.

2017

First Brick & Mortar

Via 313 opens its first permanent restaurant location in Austin, allowing the team to expand the menu, grow the team, and serve even more guests in a full dining environment.

2021

Houston, We Have Pizza

Via 313 expands to Houston, opening a location at 10201 Katy Fwy. The Houston community welcomes the Detroit-style tradition with open arms and hungry stomachs.

Detroit native, pizza evangelist, and the vision behind Via 313. Brandon leads the company's growth strategy while staying close to the kitchens he loves.

Zane Hunt

Co-Founder & Head of Operations

Zane keeps the engine running — from kitchen systems to supply chain. He's the operational backbone who ensures every location runs at its absolute best.

Maria Reyes

Executive Chef – Houston

Maria brings 15 years of culinary experience to the Houston kitchen. She oversees recipe consistency, seasonal specials, and kitchen team development.

James Okafor

Guest Experience Manager

James is the heartbeat of our front-of-house operations. He trains staff, resolves issues, and makes sure every guest leaves with a smile and a full belly.
